BME assistant professor Tsu-Te Judith Su has been selected to receive the Dr. Horace Furumoto Innovations Young Investigator Award next year at the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery's Annual Conference.

"I'm honored to receive the Young Investigator Award, and thank the Department of Biomedical Engineering, the College of Optical Sciences, the BIO5 Institute and the University of Arizona Cancer Center for their support," Su said.

Su will be presented with the award on March 29, 2019, at the plenary session of the conference. She will also receive $4,500 for professional development.

The award was established in 2007 by Candela Corp., Cynosure and DEKA, and is given in memory of laser technology pioneer Horace Furumoto.
