Powerful BS in Biomedical Engineering

The University of Arizona offers a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering, as well as an accelerated master’s degree option. BME students can tailor their undergraduate program to match their career goals or select from established specializations:

Accelerated Master’s Program 

The UA Graduate College gives exceptional students in biomedical engineering the option to earn a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in as few as five years. See BME Graduate Degrees for more information.

Technical Electives 

BME students choose upper-level coursework tailored to their interests, with a broad range of biomedical and general technical electives.

Advanced Standing

BME students wishing to take 300- and 400-level classes must first be granted advanced standing through the College of Engineering.

The Department of Biomedical Engineering has additional advanced standing requirements to ensure students are ready for rigorous upper-division courses, available in the BME Undergraduate Policies document on the Advising page.
