Abstract: Join us to learn a step-by-step tool for science communication. The Message Box is a tool created by ocean scientists who were frustrated by the challenges of communicating solid science to audiences outside of academia. The tool is useful for crafting fellowship proposals, conference talks, press releases, or any other form of science communication. Come to this interactive session with an idea of the research you would want to communicate and an audience you would like to communicate to. Leave the session with a draft of your message and a tool you will continue to use throughout your career.
