Graduate and Professional Student Council Leader Does Daily Wildcat Q&A
Dustin Tran, a fourth-year BME PhD student, has been involved with the Graduate and Professional Student Council for three years. He will be the GPSC executive vice president in the 2019-2020 academic year, having just finished his term as administrative vice president. He did an interview with The Daily Wildcat, along with Marie Teemant, an art history PhD student who was just re-elected as the organization’s president.
“We're looking for different ways to serve graduate students -- finding professional development opportunities, figure out what kinds of things students want,” Tran said. “Are they looking to learn more soft skills, are they looking to pick up some additional skills that will help them with their research or their education?”
